If you have a TiVo or have otherwise recorded this for later viewing, delete it or just skip to the last ten minutes and save fifty minutes of your life. It's an hour-long program, which for the first fifty minutes pretty much just introduces a few theories about his identity and how they'll try to prove them: Was he really a Genoese weaver's son? Was he a pirate, a mercenary, a nobleman from Catalan? Was he hiding his illegitimacy? Was he disguising a Jewish heritage to hide from the Inquisition? The last ten minutes (really about 7-1/2), they answer these questions: No. No, probably, yes. Dunno. No. There, that took only about one minute to tell you everything you need to know.
I hate it when they do these intense investigation specials, tantalize you with questions which "will be answered," and then keep asking them over and over and over.
