No Wizard of Oz? No Gone with the Wind? Weird list... only 14% for me. I really do want to see Metropolis.

That is kind of a surprising list. Sometimes I think only critics and film historians are asked to come up with these lists. I once watched a special about the 10 best commercials of all time and was also surprised by the results. They admitted the list was made by critics and historians. I think they made another special later taking web surveys of the public's favorites.

Which Metropolis do you want to see? The Fritz Lang Metropolis or do you want to catch the end of the Osamu Tezuka Metropolis? I have only heard about the Fritz Lang version. I kind of wonder if the anime was based upon Lang's version. I think it also includes a scientist making a robot based on somebody’s daughter. I would like to see the Fritz Lang Metropolis because it sounds interesting and I would like to compare the two versions.
