I got to see her flower garden and the pond, and we even saw a muskrat swimming around! She also showed me a little preview of the bouquets.
We were talking about back in college and reminiscing a little. I was complaining about how bad my memory is due to various chemicals (Zoloft, etc.) that have been through my brain in the last 8 years. So she broke out the photos. She had a few... hundred. I remembered some people that I'd completely forgotten about. I recognized other people but couldn't place them. It was a trip, and it felt like I'd regained a part of myself that had been locked up in the attic. I know a lot of people get offended if I can't remember them, but it's not a matter of importance or anything like that. There are just big holes in my memories. BTW, I remember you, now, redmuppetdragon. I'm sorry I didn't before.
flower76 cooked up a calzone (600 Cal.) and we ate while we watched my tape of Eddie Izzard's Dress to Kill. Then, she made crème brûlée (yes, I had to look it up), which I'd never eaten before. It was delish! I was so tired from my sleep debt for the week that I passed out about 2/3 of the way through Eddie's show, and I missed the whole French bit ("Le chat est en le chaise, et le sange est en le branche."). She woke me up to make sure I didn't sleep the night propped up like that.
Next morning, we played a bit of DDR, then got ready to join morgaine723, Beth, and Erin for lunch at Cancun. It was yummy. Most of the talking was about flower gardening, and I have a brown thumb, so I mostly listened and tried to learn a bit o' botany. It was all good.
After that, we went back to her place. She talked be into playing World of Warcraft with her. Crap. Now I'll have to get that. Stupid addictive personality. ;) Overall, a pretty great 22½ hours.
Thank you, flower76!!
