Water heater stuff

Hmm.. so I found that none of the connections are leaking, but there's water under the bottom of the tank. I think it might just be condensation because it is cold to the touch and extremely slow, but the neighbor's tank in the same closet has none, and I don't want to be wrong. I checked with Sears and can get a replacement that's pretty much the exact same model installed for ~$600, including taking the old one away. Half of that price is the actual unit. :P I think I should try draining the tank first, and see what happens.

I would have someone check it before replacing it.
That is a good deal though and Sears has good installers.

I thought Jeff at Hawkeye Plumbing was very nice and courteous and all that. I have replaced 2 water heaters in 11 years. Water 'round here doesn't agree with 'em real well. :(

Thanks, dear. Yeah, the water's not particularly hard, but it's spotty. :\
