Run Report for 6/8

Intervals 3x 13/4:20
The temperature today was nice, but it's on the verge of raining, so there's a lot of humidity. I decided to ramp up the runs a little, adding a minute to the run time for each segment and 20 seconds to the walks. I will say that the first 13 minutes were the shortest, and the last were the longest, although distance-wise the opposite is true. I have a hard time doing negative splits. When I start out, doing a 9:30/mi pace seems right, and I don't realize I'm doing it until I've run for five or six minutes and check my pace. I did end up slowing it down a bit, but I did positive splits all the way: 10:12, 10:36, and 10:51. I need to get a headband or something to keep the sweat out of my eyes. I'm very happy with my run today overall. I covered 4.2 miles in just over 48.5 minutes with 3.7 miles run in 39 minutes. I listened to the Run Run Live podcast, and Chris was talking about qualifying for Boston, and I did wonder if I can get up to that level in the future.
