Mr. Darcy! OM NOM NOM!!

So I just finished listening to Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. It was lovely.

I often hoped to hear of Lydia or Mrs. Bennett's decapitation; the narrator was very good at voicing their shallowness and self-importance. The fight scenes were most well done, and the relationship between Darcy and Elizabeth was very heartening.

I remember reading Northanger Abbey for a college literature class on Gothic novels. We spend most of the term on Frankenstein (which I adored), but I just couldn't understand NA. I ended up actually burning my copy after the course was done. I really hated it. Maybe I should try again.

I'm so happy for Audible.com.

I knew it had been optioned. This is the first I'd heard of actual moves to get it made. :D

NA is fun, I think. I wrote a paper once, defending stupid little Catherine. I don't remember why I thought that was necessary, aside from the fact that no one in my class could stand her. :) It is supposed to be a parody of sorts, perhaps she gets a bit too close to true for you?
