Today, I walked along the outside hallway at the front of the hospital. There are huge windows all along it. The sun was shining in on the wall and the low-pile carpet along the corridor. I took it in as long as I could, but wished to be able to curl up in the sun and just take a nap, as a cat might. I'm looking forward to the longer and longer days ahead, but will savor the crispness of the night when it is clear and the stars are bright. I'll give thanks for the blanket of clouds that keeps it from getting too cold when skys are grey. I'll even stop short of cursing the wind when it comes, for I can sit in my home and even be thankful that I don't have to endure it daily as so many must.
