It's that time of year again...

...when I start wishing for the spring to come. Today, I found our neighborhood neglected ragamuffin inside, and was going to put him out (since he's not keen on litterboxes), but then I saw the temperature. 4°F. Wind was light, but chilling. I couldn't even stand to have the inside door open, even with the storm door closed. I know technically that cold doesn't radiate, but it sure felt like it. So I let Archie stay in. No way I could in good conscience put him out in that, no matter how furry he is.

So, the default icon is changed. Less than a week of progressively shorter nights, and then they'll just keep getting longer. Sadly the climate lags behind and it will get much worse before it improves. :P
