My first astrophotograph

I went out tonight to see if I could do it. I recently got a new camera, so why not?

My first attempt at astrophotography. The seeing was mediocre, my scope's not powerful, my camera's not made to take shots like this and I had to hold it up to the eyepiece. I only desat'd, and adjusted the levels to bring out the moons. Then labeled them, of course. Not bad for a first try, I think.

I also think I managed to sight Neptune, which is only about 1.5° away from Jupiter currently. It seemed to be a bit bluer than anything else, but still just a dot. I tried to locate Uranus, but I'm unsure if I found it. There weren't a lot of good reference stars to go by near it, so even though it's brighter than Neptune, it's not as easy to find.

I should look at getting a good scope with a tracking mount.
