Yes, I'm still up... *twitch* So, Bruce's daughter Brittany is getting married
later today at the Sts. Peter and Paul Church north of Solon. The church is really quite beautiful. (aside: Has anyone else noticed that in the Stations of the Cross, Jesus falls down in, like every other one? He's like the Chevy Chase of religion. </blasphemy>) Anyway, the song that the wedidng party is proceding to in "In My Life" by the Beatles. Really very touching and sweet. They have it all timed so Brittany and Bruce arrive at the front when the song is ending. I had the great idea to get as many covers of the song as possible and put them on a CD and present that as my gift to them. I went to walmart.com
and found 12 versions of this particular ditty. 3 are instrumentals by Spyro Gyra, James Galway, and Fred Benedetti & Peter Pupping. There were 5 sung by female vocalists: Tuck & Patti, Renee Fleming, Judy Collins, Bette Midler, and Astrud Gilberto. The other 4 were by male vocalists: The Dillards, Jose Feliciano, Johnny Cash, and Ozzy Osbourne. The version they didn't have? The Beatles. I'm going to see if I can slyly borrow the CD (since it will already be on the computer running the music, and rip it, then burn the CD right there. I know it's kind of last minute, but since it's their song, how can I go wrong with giving them *counts on fingers* 13
versions of it? Hmm, maybe I should put the Beatles one at the beginning and
the end of the CD... Anyway, I'm going to go lay down and pretend to sleep.
Did I mention I had caffeine? *twitch* >:D
