Beavers Are Nothing To Fear, Silly Katt

Get Fuzzy

Heh, beaver. Ye Gods, Zanita, I'm in a queer mood this morning. I guess it's the whole thing about waking up unnaturally. That is to say by a necrophiliac android who's just waiting for me to die.

Uh oh, I think I contracted acute silliness from olna_jenn!

Terry FarrellI've had 14 emails today, and 13 from LJ. It's so nice to get mail, especially from people who care. As an added bonus, I found out that I'm only 2 degrees of separation from Terry Ferrell, thanks to joshwasta. Hooray!

Kevin BaconThat puts my Kevin Bacon number at 4:

I know Wasta from college and LJ.
Wasta was babysat by Terry Farrell.
Terry Farrell was in Bonfire of the Vanities, The (1990) with Kevin Dunn.
Kevin Dunn was in Stir of Echoes (1999) with Kevin Bacon.

Of course, I have a KB# of 3 through John Astin, who I met at a Thai restaurant in Des Moines one summer. But through Terry Farrell is better. :)
John Astin was in Frighteners, The (1996/I) with R. Lee Ermey.
R. Lee Ermey was in Murder in the First (1995) with Kevin Bacon.

What is your Kevin Bacon number?
(Use the Kevin Bacon Oracle at Virginia for help to jump from a famous person you know.)

Firewall and Antivirus

I got paid today, and so am now all hooked up. I can now visit unknown sites without fear of utter annihilation of my computer. Yay!

So in honor of being able to venture into the unknown reaches of the internet, I visited, or rather vizisited, gizoogle.com, a parody search engine, apparently by Snoop Dogg. Don't roll your eyes, tho. It's classy. They have Shakespeare there:

ta be, or not ta be . Bow wow wow yippee yo yipee yay.
that be tha question like a tru playa'. crazy ass
nigga tis pimp in tha mind ta rappa tha perpetratin' n
arrows... ta sleep. perchance ta dream...

From tha play about tha crazy ass Dizane, Hamlet. It's hiz famed soliloquizy, b'yotch!

Maybe I should try to catch up on the sleep I didn't get enough of last night. No wonder, what with waking up with all y'all in my bed this morning. ;)

Jingle Mandy and M'nah! M'nah!

I really reminded myself of Jingle Charly today. I had made these hair wraps, but they weren't wrapped into my hair. They're just attached to a hair elastic. One of them has my own tetragramaton MRND, another has a fairy charm I had from earrings I made in college, and another has three heart charms. The one with MRND also has a triple split at the end with charms of the sun, the moon, and a star. I pull my hair up using the elastic and it looks like they're actual hair wraps. The point is this: those charms tinkle and jingle when I walk or swing my head around, and all day I was reminded of jaka_talbot's hair wraps that Ken and I put in that had the little jingly bits in them. It always made me think of fairies hovering and chattering about her. :)

This one is for history_grrl. She's the one who introduced me to the wonderful "M'nah M'nah" song by Animal. I've been watching this bizarre new sitcom on NBC, Committed, and I'm hooked. We're introduced to the character Marni in the middle of one of her many first dates, and it ellipses in "...and then I go, 'M'nah! M'nah!'" The guy gives her a strange look, and then trying to save the date, she adds quickly, "or I can do the 'Do-do-do-do-do' part if you want to do the 'M'nah M'nah' part!" Shaun, do you remember the first time you told me about this song? Wasn't it just like that, except for the date part? XD

And then, we find that this is also her ringtone. Then, the other day, I was watching a commercial. Don't ask me why, or what it was for, but this woman is sitting there on a date and the guy is talking, and she is bored, and he asks her opinion or something, and she waits a beat... and I somehow knew to say it with her... "M'nah! M'nah!" And the guy does the "Do-do-do-do-do" part and then the whole restaurant gets into it! I laughed my ass off.
