Some weird shit is going on today.

P called my cell-phone while I was away from my desk. I checked the missed call log and saw that it was she. I called to hear the voice-mail. "Hi, it's P. Talk to you later." *click* O.o Why leave a message like that? I'm so confused.

I'm listening to Yahoo! Music Radio today as well, and it played a song by an artist named Mariajose. The song was in Spanish, and I thought, "Aw, Es-pop! That sounds good." So I switch to a Rock en español station, and it plays Maná's "Labios Compartidos." They were the big act in Mexico when I was there in the Spring of '94. The song that was playing when I started this post was "Lamento Boliviano" by Los Enanitos Verdes. Okaaaaay. I thought we had some weird names of bands here in the English-speaking world: Electric Shoes, Toad the Wet Sprocket. Los Enanitos Verdes translates as The Green Mini-Dwarves. (I didn't even have to look this up, as I knew enano means dwarf from reading my copy of El Hobbit. For serious.)

Anyway, just thought I'd make a couple of observations for no apparent reason, which seems to be the meaning of "to LJ" for some people. ~_^ Happy Yom Kippur. Oh, also the Autumnal Equinox is at 09:51UT on the 23rd, which is 04:51CDT. I'll probably still be awake for that. Blessed Mabon.

ETA: Okay, I think I figured it out. Today is batshit because it is the 20th 30th anniversary of the birth of a metaphor.

I can't believe he was wearing a leather jacket while water-skiing.
