I must ask you more questions about this Lasek at some point.

The glasses are a good fit for you. Expecially while growling. :P

Ask away. Like I said, I'm not certain what the next appointment all entails, but I have a pamphlet about the procedure itself.

*grins* Cute! And yay for Lasik.

So far, I'm too chicken to even ask if I am a good candidate for Lasik. I know it's supposed to be really safe and effective, I know at least one person who had it and it worked great, I don't know anyone with a bad experience. I should probably look into it. But I also know I tend to rub my eyes, even while asleep.... :P

I figure the odds of them blinding me in either eye is incredibly small, since the procedure's automated, and the machine that controls the laser tracks any eye movement and recalculates some 4000x per second. I only hope that the machine doesn't look like the Cyberman Upgrade Unit. Even if something horrible happened, it'd probably be only in one eye. Either the first goes okay with the second going wrong, or the first goes wrong whereas there'd be no second. In either of those cases, I get a nice settlement and get either to wear an eyepatch ( U_^? Arr! ) or to have an awesome-looking glass eye installed. In a decade or two, I'll either have one grown from scratch or have a bionic eye put in. So no fears here. ^_^

Oh, and after the procedure, they give you special goggles to wear when you shower or sleep.

Thank you for sharing a picture of your glasses.
They remind me a little bit of Dr Who's glasses :)
I like your new icon.

Well, some people didn't believe me. e_e No problem.

I thought so, too, after I got them. His are thicker frames, black, with wider hold-on-to-the-ears-thingies. Oh, and his are fake. ~_^

I figured I needed something vision related for these LASIK posts. Thanks! ^_^

Yow, your hair has grown.

Glasses are cute. But I like the idea of having your eyes fixed, then you won't need to sleep in your contacts. :p

Yeah, I keep thinking about cutting it, especially after I've just washed it. I actually have had fewer problems with my contacts when I kept them in all the time. I'll be glad to be rid of any artifical lenses.

OMG, you're my sister!
I take it you were really surprised at how the world really looks?

I seriously wondered for a moment when my sister put up an LJ...because you look so very like her in that pic!

Re: OMG, you're my sister!
Weird. I've never been anyone's doppelgänger before!

I wore contacts, and glasses are not how the real world looks. It's all bendy at the edges, with rainbow effects, like watching Care Bears on acid.
