Happy endings 2 and 3

That horrid feeling in my throat seems to have disappeared. I don't think it's that I've grown accustomed to it, but if the feeling comes back, I will be contacting the doctor (no, not the one in my icon, rather my physician).

The family Xmas thing went well. It was at my mother's house, which is kind of small for everyone, but it just brought everyone closer, emotionally and physically. ^_^ My cousin proposed to his girlfriend yesterday (Saturday) and had a gorgeous ring, flowers, and bridal mags for her. She said yes, of course, and this gathering was their chance to show and tell. Another of my cousins' wife is pregnant with their second child, due in March. Lots of good food (no nutty surprises there), and my devilled eggs went over well even though I was a little short on supplies when I made them (not enough mayo) and I accidentally forgot to set the timer when boiling them and they were a little undercooked for the way I make them. I think they were 8-minute eggs instead of 10-. Stayed after to talk with Mother, showed her how to do some stuff on her computer, watched Spiderman 2 (I think the cables suspending my disbelief catastrophically failed). Sis couldn't come down b/c of her work. She and I will be there next weekend, tho. Maybe I'll get to meet her dog, Monet.

To me that sounded like a happy post filled with happy things. Yay for family when family works right!
