Today's CatFancy Cat-a-day Calendar Text

"If a dog shares your home, keep your cat's litterbox in a spot that the dog cannot access. Some dogs like to consume cat feces. Yuck!"

Mmm, puppy kisses! Just thought you would want to know that. Oh, wait, that's probably something you wish you didn't know...

Man, one of our dogs does this. We have to make sure to keep the litter box scooped the moment a cat goes for this very reason. I am not going to be *that* distraught to see the dogs go to a new home...

It has to do with the high-protein diet cats need to survive thanks to their requirement for relatively significant levels of taurine. This makes cat feces highly... nutritious and rather tasty, and dogs with their excellent sense of smell, know this.

Of course, that makes it no less disgusting. I don't care if there were an animal that crapped solid Swiss penut-butter fudge, I sure as hell wouldn't eat it. God damn, dogs are stupid. ;)
