Things I didn't get done today

Getting Crow's card in the mail. Hy-Vee won't touch an APO/FPO address. Since the USPO works the same hours as I do and takes their lunch when I do, this will have to wait until Saturday, which is probably pointless since it is Christmas Eve. Maybe I'll just start late and end late at work tomorrow.

Greeting the sun. Sunrise was much later than I expected, so it actually happened as I was driving to work. Properly greeting the sun while driving might be a bad idea. I simply looked to the east-southeast and bid a simple "Welcome Eos, Aurora. I am glad we'll be seeing more of you."

Yeah, so the two things I wanted to do today didn't really work out like I'd hoped, and I woke up with a splitting headache that is still hanging on behind my eyes. I did, however, get my benefits paperwork into the HR office at work so I'll have all the good bennies at the start of the year. I should probably start calling to set up dentist and doctor appointments now.

If you get someone to weigh it for you on a postage scale, you can hit the USPS web site for postage value, then just buy it. I use the scale machines at the post office, which operate when no one's there. They won't do anything larger than letters to military addresses either (annoying!), but since I can get them to sell me postage after I say how much, it works.

I am not working on Friday, so if you are able to bring your letter/card/whatever by my house tomorrow night, I will be happy to post it for you on Friday.

I don't think it's over a pound, so it should be under $4. I'd really appreciate it. Thanks, sweetie! ^_^
